The history of Gurgaon cannot be talked about without mentioning several developers who transformed the city’s skyline. Among them, Tulip Group occupies a unique position. Unlike many developers that rose during the real estate boom of the late 2000s, Tulip built its reputation on delivering large residential communities across emerging sectors of Gurgaon, particularly along the Southern Peripheral Road (SPR). However, like many other real estate developers in India, the Tulip group too faced a difficult period marked by the market slowdown, funding challenges, and changing buyer expectations. Yet, instead of fading away, this developer rebuilt its brand, developed luxurious residencies and restored consumer trust. This is the story of Tulip Group's rise, struggles, current position, and what the future may hold.

The Perfect Timing
Tulip Group was established in 2005 under the leadership of Praveen Jain, just as Gurgaon was beginning to emerge as India’s fastest-growing real estate sector. Starting early developments in Sonipat, Tulip entered the Gurgaon real estate market in 2008. Tulip saw the potential in areas that other builders were uncertain about. They saw potential in the land area of what we all know today as the fastest-growing corridor of the Southern Peripheral Road. Tulip purchased land aggressively throughout these sectors with the sole purpose of providing amazing residential projects that are easy on the pocket, give you community living, and are modern.
Building a Strong Presence

Throughout the time between 2008 and 2017, Tulip Group has done remarkable work in this sector, launching multiple projects that defined the sector and became landmarks that investors and end users loved. Tulip launched a couple of residential projects in Sector 69, 70, and 89. These projects are Tulip Ivory, Petals, Ace, Orange, White, Purple, Violet, and Lemon. Unlike some developers that focused only on luxury housing, Tulip catered to multiple buyer segments, from affordable apartments to premium villas and high-rise residences. The company eventually developed more than 150 acres and delivered over 6,000 homes, according to its own published milestones.
Post Covid Positioning of The Company

Instead of remaining focused on mid-income housing, Tulip gradually shifted towards premium housing projects, and post covid, they have launched amazing projects that have received much love from investors and end users. These projects are:
Tulip Monsella, Golf Course Road
Tulip Crimson, SPR
Tulip Melrose, SPR
These projects target buyers looking for larger residences, modern architecture, and premium amenities rather than only affordable pricing.
What the Future Holds
Tulip Group is a debt-free developer that has proven its place in this city of opportunities. With their projects like Tulip Crimson and Tulip Monsella, which have received a lot of love from investors as well as the market, they have established themselves as a brand that not only contributes to affordable housing but also to the luxury market. Especially with Tulip Monsella, being located on Golf Course Road, this project is an amazing feat by this builder. Tulip has also talked about investing ₹6,000 Cr* across multiple residential projects in Gurgaon, marking the company’s strong command and its trust in the growing luxury market of this city.
