When we talk about the development in India, we proudly look at the NCR. This region has been one of the key areas to live, work, and have a lifestyle. Where Delhi, the capital of India, offers you a vast, convenient way of living with all the main headquarters and best connectivity, Noida is a sweet neighboring region that provides a work and living solution. Gurgaon, on the other hand, has seen development like no other. From being an undeveloped rural area to a world-class living space with global recognition. While Faridabad is still on the development side, the NCR is developing like no other. Let’s talk about the further development in the region with the newly proposed 60-KM Rapid Rail route, which will link all these regions together in a beautiful and well-planned web.
THE 60-KM PROPOSED RAIL ROUTE

A new 60-km stretch of RRTS is proposed to create the connectivity between Gurgaon, Faridabad, and Noida. This route is proposed to make the connectivity between these regions fluid and hassle-free. The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has written to the Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation Limited (HMRTC) seeking approval to begin work on the route plan. Once the alignment is cleared, a detailed project report (DPR) will be prepared. This proposal is under consideration by the Haryana Government, and it will greatly boost the connectivity between three important regions in the NCR.
PROPOSED STATIONS AND ROUTE
According to the plan, the new RRTS route will commence from Gurgaon, with the first station being near IFFCO Chowk, Sector 29. From there, it will go to the Golf Course Road, Sector 54, and there it will divert towards Faridabad via Gurgaon-Faridabad Road.
In Faridabad, 2 stations are proposed, one at the Bata Chowk and the other at the intersection of sectors 85 & 85.
After that, the corridor will reach Noida, with a station near the sector 142-168 junction. The final station will be Surajpur in Greater Noida, where it will connect to the planned Ghaziabad-Jewar Airport Namo Bharat Line.
WHY IS IT NECESSARY?

The biggest reason for this RRTS is to create a seamless connection between the whole NCR, as the roads are jam-packed in most areas. These corridors connecting will make travel much convenient and even faster as the trains are proposed to run at a speed of 180 kmph. This will also make the highways less busy, especially NH48, and reduce interstate travel time by a lot.
FINAL VERDICT
This initiative of building a corridor connecting key NCR regions was an inevitable one and will help boost the economy further. With the future development plans in the corporate sectors like the upcoming global city, this is a necessary step to take. With the already in development of 2 major RRTS corridors, one from Sarai Kale Khan to New Karnal in Haryana, and the other to Shahjahanpur–Neemrana–Behror from Sarai Kale Khan, the connectivity will grow even better. If the new 60-km corridor gets approved, it will be a major addition to the growing Namo Bharat network, aimed at improving daily travel and reducing traffic in the National Capital Region.
