The Stretch from Vatika Chowk to Ghata Chowk has always been a jam-packed road as it is a major part that connects the Dwarka Expressway to the Golf Course Road. The red lights are long, and the traffic is just unbearable. To counter this, GMDA will pave the Unpaved shoulders of this road and widen it to convert it into a 4-lane route. This step has been taken to improve the congestion, dust, and pollution in the area. The Authorities have floated a tender for the project with an estimated cost of 6.9 Cr*. This is a huge relief for daily commuters of this route as the traffic will ease out and the flow will be streamlined. This will also help in dust reduction of the said corridor, as the sides of the roads are dusty right now, making the whole ride through this corridor irritating and unbearable. This correction will make this corridor much more demanding, and the effects of it will also show on the real estate around the corridor.

How is it Beneficial?
Development is always beneficial, and this corridor widening is beneficial in many ways. Since the corridor will have 1 row extra on each side, that means the congested traffic will scatter, making the commute less of a hassle. With the Elevated SPR till Vatika Chowk, and this road widening from Vatika Chowk till Ghata Chowk, the connectivity gets seamless and efficient. The Dust pollution also reduces with the road being built to the shoulder. Overall, this project is going to benefit all of us in a significant way.
