The Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR) is being developed under the National Industrial Corridor Development Corridor (NICDC), in collaboration with the Government of Gujarat and the Government of India. Dholera Smart City is set to introduce the first Semiconductor chip plant, with a whopping investment of ₹91,000 Cr* by TATA Electronics. Partnered with PSMC, this Semiconductor plant is set to be a game-changer for the Indian economy, bringing both employment opportunities and future trade prospects.

Smart Grid Power System

Already being built, a massive TATA Solar Park by TATA Power will feature Asia’s largest single-axis Solar tracking system, which will have a capacity of generating 5,000 KW of electricity. The benefit it will have of increased solar electricity generation will help in the sustainability of the city, considering it will have a lot of Industrialization.

Sewage and Flood Management System

A water and Sewage treatment plant is being developed, which is going to treat 10 MLD of water every day. Not only this, floodwater management has already been developed with massive canals and lakes to manage the excessive floodwater, making it a much better and planned city.

Delhi-Mumbai Expressway: Connecting the DSIR to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is a 109 km-long expressway from Ahmedabad to Dholera, providing easy road connectivity. 

Dholera Airport: With the Dholera Airport already in development, DSIR is eyeing great air connections as this airport is going to be the second largest in India after the Jewar Airport. While being huge, it will carry 70% of goods, while 30% flights will be passenger flights. 

Freight Corridor: This city is just 15 km away from the Bheemnath Railway station, which is also a freight corridor and is being more to provide a better freight service.

Sea Port: Connected to the Sea Port where Adani is also investing, Dholera Smart City spreads its connectivity web in all directions.

Many companies have already invested in the DSIR; some of these are TATA, Adani, Reliance, Marriott International, Dassault, Airbus, and many more.
