The Gurgaon Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has planned to redesign 17 busy junctions of Gurgaon to ease traffic and reduce pollution. This redesign has been given a budget of ₹7.5 crores. The intersections that have been chosen are between Sectors 1 and 57 and will ensure a smooth movement of vehicles. The GMDA officials said that all these locations have been identified in consultation with the Commission for Air Quality Monitoring (CAQM), with a focus on congestion and controlling pollution. Amit Godra, the Executive Engineer of GMDA, says that they will improve and extend the slip lanes, streamline free left turns, create dedicated U-turns, and adjust the median length to make better use of available road space. The points that are set to be revamped include the junctions of Sector 48/49 South City-2, Sector 40/45 Cyber Park, Sector 4/5 Chowk, Rezangla Chowk, Modern Bazar near Mayfield Gardens, Opposite Tau Devi Lal Stadium Sector 22, Sector road of Sector 72A and Sector 33, Arcadia Mall Redlight, Sector 9 Chowk, Sector 4/7 Chowk, Daulltabad Flyover, Millennium City Metro Station, Sector 41/45 red light, Bhaktawar Chowk, Unitech Cyber Park, Ghata Power House, and Kaushal Chowk.

A Move Towards Making Gurgaon Attractive to End-Users
We all know that Gurgaon is a real estate investment hub, but people hesitate when it comes to buying a house in this city. Mostly because of the poor road conditions. With this move, the GMDA plans to make the traffic management of this city better, hence attracting more end users to buy homes in Gurgaon. And overall, too, it is a great initiative in managing and improving the city’s infrastructure.
