India’s top real estate development firm, DLF, said in an interview that it snagged record bookings of 4 billion rupees for its ultra-luxury project in Gurgaon. They also mentioned that they generated 1.4 billion rupees in bookings for this project in a mere nine weeks, reflecting the demand for luxury living in the Indian market. Selling 173 units in Dehlias also reflects the fact that the luxurious lifestyle is taking rich Indians by storm, with exotic cars, watches, and even washrooms to their premium liking. This was also the first time that the sales value achieved in a single project crossed 100 billion rupees in one quarter. The "overwhelming response" took DLF's sales bookings for April-December to 191.87 billion Indian rupees, the company said on Friday, above its full-fiscal outlook of 170-180 billion rupees.
